Lab testing isn’t legally required in the supplement industry, but we’ve made it a core part of our process. Not for marketing, not because it’s trendy, but because it’s the right thing to do.

The Problem No One Talks About
In Australia, food regulations are set by FSANZ (Food Standards Australia and New Zealand), and they’re generally solid. But they’re not always enforced consistently, especially in the world of supplements and sports nutrition.
We’ve seen too many products make bold claims with no data to back them up. Labels that say one thing, but deliver something else. Proprietary blends that hide what’s really inside and misleading nutrition panels designed to impress, not inform.
It’s frustrating. And for anyone serious about their health, it’s unacceptable.
What Lab Testing Actually Means
When we say we “lab test” our protein, here’s what we mean:
We send samples of our products to Symbio Laboratories in Brisbane. An independent Australian laboratory specialising in food safety and analytical testing.
These tests focus specifically on heavy metals, ensuring our products meet strict Australian safety standards.
We don’t cherry-pick samples. Testing is conducted across our range and on a batch-by-batch basis where required.
We make these results available on our website in plain language, so you can see exactly how your product measures up.
It’s about real transparency, not smoke and mirrors.
Why It Matters to Us
We started this company because we were tired of guessing what was in our supplements.
We believe in doing things properly, with respect for nature, for science, and for the people who trust us with their health.
So while lab testing might add a little more complexity to our process, it gives us the peace of mind that what we’re offering is real. And that matters more than cutting corners or saving a few dollars.
Our Testing Rhythm
We test all batches, across products and flavours to cover our full range. If we change suppliers or source from a new region, we increase testing. If something looks off, we investigate.
While seasonal variations in raw ingredients are normal, especially in natural dairy protein we hold our products to tight tolerances. Our goal is for protein levels to fall within 3% of the label claim, and we act quickly if anything falls outside that range.
Why We Don’t Test Every Single Batch
Sometimes we get asked, “Why not test every single product?” It’s a fair question.
The reality is, many of our batches are large, 10,000 kg or more from the same source. Testing every unit of that batch wouldn’t provide any new insight, and it would drive up costs unnecessarily.
So we focus on smart, consistent testing, often, but not blindly. It’s about maintaining integrity without passing unnecessary costs onto you.
