Nutritionally, Australian and New Zealand grass-fed whey are very similar. New Zealand has slightly more year-round pasture availability due to their climate. Australia has more seasonal variation, which is why our cows eat green silage in late summer and grain only in extreme drought.
Both countries produce excellent whey when sourced from pasture-fed cows. The difference is less about quality and more about where your money goes and how short the supply chain is.

Are your cows actually Australian?
Yes, they graze on the lush pastures of the south-western coast of Victoria, certified pasture-fed for at least 70% of any given year. In late summer, when the grass thins, they eat green silage. Australian grain is only ever used as a last resort in extreme drought. The farms are antibiotic- and hormone-free and third-party audited for animal welfare.
Lots of brands say "Australian", what's different here?
Many Australian brands are Australian-owned but source their whey from New Zealand, which is a perfectly good product, just not local milk. Our Australian whey protein is local end-to-end: from cows to milk to manufacturing, packaging, and dispatch.
Is Australian whey better than New Zealand whey?
Not necessarily, they're nutritionally comparable when both come from pasture-fed cows. NZ dairy is excellent. The choice comes down to what you're optimising for: a shorter domestic supply chain, supporting local farmers, or knowing exactly where your protein starts.
