Why It Makes A Difference To Your Body
The hormone-free baseline is just the floor. What sits above it (feed, additives, antibiotic management, testing transparency) is where the real difference is with grass-fed, hormone-free whey protein, and where most brands stop short.
Pasture-fed cows produce milk that's naturally higher in omega-3 fatty acids and CLA compared to grain-fed systems. That nutritional difference is a direct consequence of the same source decision. Grass-fed isn't a separate upgrade, but the reason the rest of the non-GMO claim holds up.
A short ingredient list safeguards what you're consuming, too. Our natural protein powder has four core ingredients plus real wholefood flavour. There's no soy lecithin, no fillers and no artificial flavours, and nothing carrying a GM input, so the formula stays about as pure as it gets.
The honest truth is that any reputable Australian or New Zealand whey clears the synthetic-hormone bar. If that's all you're after, you have plenty of options. The full stack narrows the field: certified pasture-fed, sunflower rather than soy lecithin, antibiotic-free herds, and publicly available lab results. If you want hormone-free, non-GMO, grass-fed whey protein, the list gets a lot shorter.

Clean by Design, Not by Label
We're exercise scientists who couldn't find a clean enough protein for our clients and families, which is why we made one.
This drive became the pillars of our grass fed protein powder:
- Four core ingredients
- Pasture-raised Aussie cows
- Non-GM sunflower lecithin instead of soy
- Nothing artificial or synthetic in the formula
Hormone-free and non-GMO aren't claims we bolted on at the end, but a consequence of intentional decisions.
Our ambassadors use it too. Olympic finalist Ben St Lawrence, fitness coach and grazier Joy McClymont, Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Kaye Scott, and chef Justin North.

Hormone-Free Whey Protein FAQs
Is your whey actually hormone-free?
Yes. Our supplier herds are antibiotic-free and raised without synthetic hormones, and they run under a zero-tolerance animal welfare policy that's independently audited by a third party. The whey is gently processed via ultrafiltration to keep it non-denatured, and every batch is HASTA-tested before it ships. View our lab results for a detailed breakdown.
Aren't all Australian whey proteins hormone-free anyway?
For synthetic growth hormones like rBST, yes, since it is banned in Australian dairy.
What varies between products is everything else: whether cows eat GM grain or grass, whether the formula uses GM soy lecithin or non-GM sunflower lecithin, whether the herds are antibiotic-free, and whether there are transparent lab results. That's the stack that separates our grass-fed non-GMO whey protein from the category baseline.
What does "non-GMO" mean for a protein powder?
First, the feed. Grain-fed cows commonly eat GM corn and GM soy, whereas pasture-fed cows eat grass, removing the main feed-chain GMO route.
Second, the additives. Soy lecithin is a common whey emulsifier and is frequently derived from GM soy. We use sunflower lecithin instead, and the four-ingredient formula leaves no other place for GMO inputs to enter.
Is grass-fed the same as non-GMO?
They're related, but not identical. Grass-fed means cows eat pasture rather than grain, which eliminates the most common GMO feed route. But a product could technically be grass-fed and still use GM additives like soy lecithin in the powder itself.
The full non-GMO claim covers both what the cows eat and what goes into the formula. We call our blend non-GMO grass-fed whey protein because it addresses both sources.
How do I know it's really free of hormones and GMOs?
Look at what we can show you:
- Farm location and certification
- Four-ingredient formula with nothing hidden
- HASTA batch test certificates
- A public lab results page
A hormone-free whey protein claim without any of that is just words. We keep our lab results open to stand by this transparency.
